Admission to the Interdisciplinary Master’s Degree in Humanities is governed by a specific notice published in accordance with the academic calendar of the Graduate Program. The selection is performed once a year.
The MIH Collegiate establishes an Examining Committee for each Line of Research responsible for conducting the selection process.
Each Examining Committee will be formed by three (3) permanent teachers of the MIH, and may have members, by decision of the college, outside the master’s degree and/or institution.
The number of vacancies offered by the Interdisciplinary Masters in Humanities (MIH) is 16, distributed between the two Research Lines as follows: 8 vacancies for Line 1 (Education, Politics and Languages) and 8 vacancies for Line 2 ( Labor, Development and Migration).
The Half of the vacancies of the selection of the Interdisciplinary Masters in Humanities is destined to Brazilian graduates and the other half to candidates from African Countries of Official Language Portuguese (PALOP) and East Timor.
One (1) specific vacancy is opened for persons with disabilities, according to Decree No. 3,298 of December 20, 1999.
The full filling of the vacancies offered will depend on the candidates’ performance in the evaluations, taking into account the whole selection process.
The vacancies are distributed between the two Research Lines and the number of teachers who are members of the permanent teaching staff of MIH.
Holders of degrees in any area of ​​knowledge are eligible to apply.
Holders of undergraduate degrees recognized or revalidated by the Ministry of Education of the Brazilian Federal Government are considered qualified (Brazilian and foreign).
Candidates holding undergraduate degrees obtained abroad that are not recognized and/or revalidated by the Ministry of Education may register on condition that the diploma is issued by Cooperative/Agreed Institutions of Higher Education or UNILAB Partners.
The selection of the candidates is carried out by means of Examining Committees, indicated by the Collegiate.
The selection process takes place at the headquarters of the International Integration University of Afro-Brazilian Lusophony in Redenção, State do Ceará, and in São Francisco do Conde, State of Bahia.
The candidates from Bahia hold the written test of knowledge and the interview at the Malês Campus, which is done through virtual means through audiovisual devices.
Foreign candidates, native and resident in the partner countries (Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe) will be able to carry out the Written Test of Knowledge and the Interview in the Cultural Centers of the Embassies of Brazil, located in the respective countries of origin.
Foreign applicants, natives and residents in partner countries (Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe and East Timor) will conduct the Interview through virtual means through audiovisual devices.
